Funky grass

I've been on the look out for materials that I can incorporate into installations, and the other day I was told about coloured artificial grass. Ive been amazed at the variety of natural artificial grass available, from grasses that look freshly mown to grasses mixed with moss and those with the occasional weed!

Then there is a selection of astroturf-style grasses of different shades of green. This short-cut type does little to resemble natural grass. Even less realistic are the ranges of coloured artificial grass. I've never come across a purple lawn in someone's back garden, but it could exist.

Ive been gathering samples, and am particularly attracted to the two-tone colour range.

I'm am looking forward to playing around with sitting sculptures on the various different types of grass.

Personally, I would love to have my yard the shade of purple. I doubt my neighbors would appreciate it. One of my favorite colors in the world is any shade of purple or lavender. Yet, if I did the grass in a purple shade, they'd probably lock me up and throw away the key. Perhaps I'll start in the back yard behind the fences.
