Tissue paper cones

As I previously mentioned, I had an impulse to make some tissue paper cones and began playing with them alongside other things I had in my studio.

Follow your impulses

Sometimes when making work I have an urge to do something. The other day I had an impulse to make some papier mache cones. I imagined perching them on rods and hanging them from the ceiling or poking off the wall. I don't quite know where this desire came from, but it is important to listen to your instincts and follow impulses. Often the reasons or explanations behind the idea become clear with time.
