27th January (opening 5-9pm) - 10th Feburary

Why do we feel the need to archive, to save, to cut out, and to keep? What drives us to accumulate, record and assemble? Collect is an exhibition that features the loved object created using paper based materials. The artists selected are all concerned with the passionate interest we have for personal possessions, and the objects of the everyday.

pencil sculptures

impressive!

Settling in...

After a week of putting up shelves, sorting out storage etc, I am gradually feeling as though the studio is coming together.

The highlight of last week was building my incredible table, with storage for all my paper.

There is still a fair bit of sorting out boxes still to be done, but now i have a table everything seems so much better!

We are hoping to have a studio warming at some point in the near future.

Central Station

I have recently become a member of Central Station.

Central Station describes itself as a community for exploring art, film and design. It is a great resource for looking at what other creative individuals are up to, finding out about exhibitions and opportunities, joining in with debates and profiling your own work.

Collograph Prints

Towards the end of last year, I did a batch of collograph prints - very enjoyable. Here are some photos.

New year:New studio :)

One of the reasons for the lack of posts from me recently is because I have been busy packing things up ready to move into my new studio (shared with the lovely Stephanie Spindler) at The Briggait, Glasgow.

I moved in on Friday, and am so happy with the space. Now I have a permanent studio home, it is so exciting!

Next week will see me setting up the space as I want it, unpacking, sorting out storage etc, and hopefully getting chance to make some work! yippee!

My studio is number 122.
